Allan Benton/Blackberry Farm/Evil Twin From Tennessee With Smoke Bottle Release (5/31)
Collaboration is at the heart of innovation for not only Blackberry Farm, but also our friend Jeppe at Evil Twin Brewing. It’s no surprise they got together to make a beer with a mutual friend, Allan Benton of Benton’s Country Hams, whose smoked meats are treasured far and wide throughout the South and the culinary world!!!
From Tennessee with Smoke, is a 6.3% abv Smoked Farmhouse Ale, inspired by traditional European smoked beers and constructed from New World innovation. A portion of the malt and hops were generously aged in Allan Benton’s famous smokehouse to allow them to be imbued with his unique earthy hickory smoke character. The beer was finished with Blackberry Farm’s Belgian yeast strain back in early April, and this beer is finally ready to be uncorked!!!
Please join us tomorrow, Tuesday (5/31), at 5pm to get your bottles of this very limited and exciting beer!!! If you are a fan of Evil Twin’s collaborations, Blackberry Farm’s saisons, and/or Benton’s Bacon, among other things, you will definitely not want to miss out on this golden opportunity of a beer!!! See you tomorrow!

Edmund’s Oast will once again launch their popular Beer School series on the third Wednesday of every month. Led by Brandon Plyler, manager at The Charleston Beer Exchange and a Certified Cicerone, the focus for June 15 is Not So Sour.Sour Beer is not a style or really even a category of beer. Often super sour beers are what super fans crave. But, intense acidity turns off some folks new to these beers. For this class, we will feature beers that have a lighter touch of acidity to really give anyone a good taste of what is so exciting about sours!
